Intimacy is an essential yet often overlooked aspect of Occupational Therapy, despite its significant influence on rehabilitation, wellbeing, and quality of life. This training creates a supportive space for OTs to explore the emotional, physical, and sexual dimensions of intimacy and understand why they matter.
Drawing on specialist experience in sex and relationship therapy, Sue covers how to introduce intimacy within assessments, use appropriate and inclusive language, and recognise when referral to other professionals is needed.
Through practical strategies, case studies, and reflective exercises, attendees will build confidence in supporting individuals and couples with their intimacy needs as part of holistic, person‑centred care.
Learning Objectives:
Ideal for: Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Case managers.
